Some Shitty Metal Solo Reminds me of stuff I hear in guitar center. work on your theory; break out of the pentatonic box and finally listen to a variety of music for inspiration and ideas.

Awesome harmonics and soloing! I think it would probably fit in a screamo or metalcore song. When I started listening to it I didn't wanna turn it off!
What kind of guitar and amp are you using and what equipment are you using to record?

My guitar is an LTD EC-400, and my amp is a Line 6 Spider III, all plugged straight into my computer's microphone input, which is a wonder that I can get things to sound as good as they do... lol.
You might think that some harsh vocals would sound good on this, but I prefer not. I try for a power metal feel with my songs, and some of my other songs and ideas I have do/will try to have a progressive metal feel to them, sort of like dream theater.
